The People Behind the Israel Tribune
The Founding Council shaping our launch, and the Global Ambassadors and Social Impact Award recipients who've stood with us along the way.
The Founding Council
The people who've already stepped forward to shape the Israel Tribune's founding chapter.

Jeffrey Sanow
Founding Council Member
Two decades in CIA clandestine operations, now teaching leaders how conflict actually gets resolved.
Mr. Jeffrey Sanow learned his leadership skills at the school of hard knocks. He had to transition from being a highly effective operations officer to leading highly effective operations officers — a completely different skill set. Jeffrey's journey has been marked by a profound dedication to service, learning, and fostering a nuanced understanding of complex global issues. Raised on a small farm in Ohio, Mr. Sanow's experiences have shaped him into a distinguished professional with over two decades of service in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
During his tenure at the CIA, Mr. Sanow became an esteemed social skills instructor and a recognized expert in training both military personnel and civilian intelligence professionals. His unique expertise lies in leveraging civilian business tools for the strategic execution of intelligence operations. Following his retirement from the CIA in 2009, Mr. Sanow continued to share his wealth of knowledge by teaching intelligence operations at the Advanced Tradecraft Center and the U.S. Army Joint Readiness Training Center.
As a Senior Instructor, Mr. Sanow focused on equipping clients with essential planning, communications, and field skills necessary for U.S. government-affiliated and commercial sector-based intelligence operations. His diverse experiences, spanning Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, allowed him to develop a profound and personal understanding of the three monotheistic religions. Initially serving as an agriculture development technician and later as a CIA field operations officer, Mr. Sanow gained unique insights into the social constructs and inherent conflicts within these regions.
Driven by his experiences and a genuine desire to contribute positively, Mr. Sanow transitioned to the stage with a noble goal — to reach as many people as possible. His aim is to foster a deeper understanding of the nature of conflicts and, more importantly, to explore avenues for resolution. Through his presentations and engagements, Mr. Sanow continues to bridge gaps in understanding, leveraging his rich background to promote awareness, dialogue, and ultimately, peaceful resolutions to complex global challenges.
